Digests – Content Flow Automation

Clyra Digests is a tool designed to save your time on manually collecting, reading, and analyzing content from Telegram.

Automate Content Analysis

Instead of scrolling through dozens of channels, you can set up an AI analyst to:

  • Collect messages from selected sources (channels and groups).
  • Summarize them, create thematic overviews, or highlight key points according to a template you define.
  • Publish ready-to-use, structured content to a private chat or public channel on a schedule.

Scheduled or instant digest

Digests are divided into two categories depending on how you want to receive them. This setting is located on the "Publication Time" screen.

ScheduledInstant
What task does it solve?Regular monitoring and delivery at a fixed timeOne-time generation on request
ModeFully automaticManual launch only
LimitsLimited by slots depending on your bundleUnlimited

How to launch instant generation

Even if a digest is "Scheduled", you can generate it immediately:

  • Go to the "My Digests List" screen.
  • Click the three dots on the desired digest card.
  • Select "Generate now" for the desired digest.

Presets or custom prompt

Digest Type (or Preset) is a set of instructions for the AI that defines the structure, style, and content of the final digest.

Using presets

  • Preset Library – ready-made formats that you can use as-is or customize by creating a copy.
  • "News Digest" is used by default if most of your sources are channels.
  • "Group Discussion" is used by default if most of your sources are groups.
  • My presets – your personal, customized prompts. They can be created from scratch, edited, or deleted.

Creating your own prompt

If you need a unique format (e.g. “Brief translation + hashtags”), create a custom preset:

  • Select a preset from the Library and click "Edit".
  • Change the Prompt text (AI task description), Creativity (Temperature), or AI Model.
  • Click "Save and apply". The system will create a copy of the modified preset and add it to "My Presets".
For more details on Main Prompt, Model, and Creativity, see “Digest settings: Digest type”.

Public or private sources

You can collect content not only from public but also from private (closed) chats. Selecting sources is the first and most important step in creating a digest.

Source typeAccessRequirements
PublicChannels and groups that can be found by link or @usernameAvailable to all users
Open (Invite Link)Channels and groups that can be joined via a valid invitation linkRequire "Express" bundle or higher
Closed (Private)Chats or channels without invitation links, in which you are a memberRequire "Direct" or "Expert" bundles and the connection of your personal Telegram account

Your steps if you need to analyse a private source:

  • Make sure you have the Direct or Expert bundle activated.
  • On the source selection screen, you will see a notification: "You have a package that requires connecting an account".
  • Click "Connect an account" and follow the bot's instructions.

Preview

Preview allows you to verify the AI output before the digest starts publishing on a schedule. Also it helps you to estimate expenses before regular activation.

  • Click "Digest preview" on the settings screen.
  • Select a Period (e.g. "For a week" or "Since the last generation").
  • Click "Generate".

Cost transparency:

In the preview window, the exact generation cost is displayed, based on your payment mode:

  • Free mode: "Spent generations: 1"
  • Pay from balance: "Spent: €0.034" (example)
  • API key: "12345 input tokens and 6789 output tokens used"

Digest statuses

On the "My Digests" list, digest cards can display several statuses:

StatusDescriptionWhat does it mean?
ExpectedThe digest is set up and waiting for the next scheduled publication (for example, e.g. "tomorrow at 7:00 PM")Operating normally
GeneratingActive content generation using AI is in progressGeneration is in progress
OffThe digest is manually disabled by the user.Temporarily inactive; can be enabled via the context menu.
PausedCritical error. Digest automatically stopped due to a system or billing issue.Requires your attention. Click on ⚠️ for diagnostics.

Common reasons for Paused status:

  • "Free generations expired" → You need to switch to a paid AI payment mode.
  • "Problem with account connection" → Your connected account session has become invalid, reconnection is required.
  • "Bundle expired, digest disabled" → The additional Digest package (scheduled slot) has ended.

Payment

Manage expenses for AI generation across all bot features.

Important: The AI payment mode is unified and applies across all Clyra features, including Digests and AI Processing (ChatGPT and others) in forwardings. Changing the payment mode on the Digests screen will affect all your AI activities.

There are three AI payment modes:

ModeDescriptionLimits
FreeDefault mode to get acquainted with the key features30 generations per month. If the limit is reached, digests switch to the "Paused" status.
